OK, I have had a few hours wandering the avenues of consumerism and narrowly avoided buying an iphone (The apple stores are sirens to all us of weak disposition, I go there just to prove I CAN walk away), It has cleared my mind and I remembered the other thing I was going to blog about before i posted the last one.
I was researching the Texan preacher i came across an interesting piece of research that emanated from a Texan university
The study claimed that the time in which a 55 year old man could run a mile could act as an accurate predictor of his life time risk of death by stroke/heart attack etc. The magic time is eight minutes apparently. A mile in this time or less is desirable.
What I would be interested in is a follow up study that discovered how many 55 year old men died trying to run a mile in less than eight minutes
That's all!
Carry on.
